The Los Angeles Dodgers took the series win today against the Colorado Rockies to be one game back from the San Francisco Giants.
Heating Up Early
As both teams looking to end the series with a win in the books both teams rack up the home runs early in the inning.
As the Dodgers start the second inning strong to make take an early lead with Aj Pollock scoring from Austin Barens singles to right field.
That doesn’t stop with more bases that keep loading up in the second inning. After Gavin Lux and Barens got on base Corey Seager came up to the plate to hit a single bring them in for a 3-0 lead in the second.
Now the Rockies are up to make it a tie game with a double to right field from Sam Hilliard bring in Trevor Story and moving Cj Cron to third base. That doesn’t stop the Rockies from getting another single that brings in Cron and Hilliard making it a tie game at 3.
Rockies Took an Early Lead
As the Dodgers and Rockies are all tied up heading into the fifth inning where the Rockies took the lead by Raimel Tapia gets a home run in the fifth to make it a 5-3 lead over the Dodgers.
Dodgers Come Back Strong
As the game slowly gets close to finishing up the Dodgers need to make a push at the Rockies to stay alive and win this series.
The Dodgers get some life back to them when Pollock gets a hit to right field bringing in Trea Turner to make it a 4-5 lead over the Rockies.
As the Rockies didn’t do anything in the eighth inning the Dodgers are up to end the game tonight to make them one game back from the Giants.
The Dodgers are down by one in the top of the ninth inning to stay alive and possibly win the game in the ninth inning. Trea Turner gets a hit to left field to bring in Mookie Betts and advancing Corey Seager to second base.
As the game goes to extra-inning the Dodgers are looking to close it out in the 10th inning to be one game back from 1st place in the division. A home run from Max Muncy adds pressure to the Rockies making the score 7-5 Dodgers win the series.
